Hiring a Real Estate Agent

Most home buyers and sellers work with an agent they’ve done business with before, or someone they’ve been referred to through family or friends. You’re not alone if you feel obligated to work with an agent, and don’t want to offend someone or hurt anyone’s feelings.

Here’s my recommendation: interview at least 2 real estate agents before you hire anyone. Include the agent(s) you feel obligated to work with. I invite you to interview me as well. The interview can be in person, over Zoom, or even a phone call to confirm what each agent brings to the table. This may be one of the most significant financial transactions you’ll make in your lifetime; it’s important to be represented by someone with local market insight you like and trust to advocate for your best interests and who will work strategically on your behalf.

I’ll be transparent about your expenses and my compensation in our initial consultation or interview.
